• Data Strategies and Network Support - BE provides enterprise infrastructure and database support by assisting in the design, functionality, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the Consolidated Database Architecture, as well as all applications subordinate to the CDBA system with full adherence to Department of Defense Information Assurance requirements established by the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).

• Mobile Technology - BE is currently supporting the US Department of State's mobile initiatives through custom application development to track employee location and welfare, green building inspections, and foreign travel information through the use of mobile devices. BE currently develops applications across Android, Blackberry, and iOS platforms.

• Data Assurance and Continuity of Operations (COOP) - BE remotely manages network operations, data assurance, and COOP initiatives across 50+ overseas U.S. Department of State posts. BE provides deduplication technology, cybersecurity, and end-to-end data assurance for these posts managed by a single resource in Washington, DC.

• Information Assurance - BE currently supports the FBI Information Assurance Program Support (IAPS) Project supporting various FBI Field Offices and Resident Agencies. The project covers information system security officers (ISSO), information assurance services for Communications Security (COMSEC), IT system Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and emergent Information Assurance (IA) and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements. BE project staff develop and implement management, operational, and technical security controls required by FBI to assure desired levels of protection for information systems (IS) and data are achieved:

       — Establish policy/procedures in support of Federal IT security requirements
       — Conduct risk assessment to identify threats/vulnerabilities for existing/planned IS
       — Support Federal mandates for measuring and reporting compliance, perform certification and accreditation (C&A) activities
       — Provide training services to promote awareness and knowledge of compliance responsibilities for Federal IT security            requirements.
