Washington, DC – September 20, 2011 - The Department of State (DoS), Bureau of Public Affairs Office of Electronic Information (PA/EI) has awarded Buchanan & Edwards a contract for the Smart Traveler mobile application, ”We are excited to support the Department of State in providing critical foreign-travel information to the mobile user community,” says Buchanan-Edwards CTO, Greg Parchment. “Once deployed, mobile users will have access to Smart Traveler through either the iOS or Android platform, thereby broadening the Department of State’s public outreach beyond the desktop”

The DoS Bureau of Public Affairs Office of Electronic Information’s mobile Smart Traveler application provides global access to information regarding foreign destinations. The selection addresses the need for customized mobile solutions and recognizes Buchanan & Edwards’ industry-leading progress in the mobile technology field.
