On August 29, 2011, the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (A/SDBU) selected Buchanan & Edwards as the recipient of the 17th Annual Department of State Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award. Having won the Department's Award for Excellence in 2008 and 2010, BE is honored to be recognized as a leader amongst the Federal Government's top IT service providers. BE was nominated by customers in both the Resource Management (RM) and Near East Asian Affairs (NEA) Bureaus within the Department of State, a reflection of the hard work, thought leadership, and customer focus that employees have continued to provide throughout Buchanan & Edwards' 13-year tenure with the Department. U.S. Department of State - 2010 OSDBU Prime Contractor of the Year Award for Excellence

On July 15, 2010, Buchanan & Edwards was once again recognized for top performance and progressive solutions by being awarded its second Prime Contractor of the Year Award for Excellence by the US Department of State. Having been nominated by Jon Arbin (EUR-IO/EX/IM), the Office of Small and Disadvantage Business Utilization awarded this honor to BE for its SharePoint Branding initiative within the Bureaus of European and Eurasian Affairs (EUR) and International Organization Affairs (IO), providing the Bureaus with an efficient, active database that will consolidate and continually update employment opportunities within various International Organizations and the U.N. BE is proud to be a Microsoft Gold Partner. This recognition indicates that BE is at the forefront of Microsoft technology implementation and improvement. We are happy to be a part of the innovative process for improving Microsoft products and adding to the knowledge of best practices when implementing solutions around the SharePoint Server and the SQL Server. BE was awarded the runner-up award at the Microsoft Business Intelligence Demo in March of 2009 for our SharePoint Financial Fraud solution.

Buchanan & Edwards has been formally recognized for their top performance at the State Department 2008 Small Business Awards. This is a significant recognition for BE and particularly the RM Bureau Team, who was nominated for the award. Over the past three years, BE has taken the lead in transforming the way technology solutions have been delivered to the RM staff.
