Former Accenture executive joins Buchanan & Edwards to support company’s continued growth as a technical solutions provider to the FedCiv and law enforcement communities


WASHINGTON, May 5, 2017 — Buchanan & Edwards Inc., an award-winning and fast-growing technology leader creating transformative solutions for government customers, announced today that Mary Tabb Howard, formerly of Accenture, has joined the company as its new director of strategic capture. Howard, who has two decades of experience in capture and procurement, will be responsible for growing Buchanan & Edwards’ contract opportunities across the national security market to support the organization’s continued growth.

Howard joins Buchanan & Edwards from Accenture Federal Services, where she worked as a Senior Proposal Manager responsible for leading large, must-win proposal efforts. In that role, she boasted a 90 percent win rate in awarded submissions. Previously, Howard worked as a senior consultant to multiple clients seeking federal awards, where she led proposal efforts to agencies including the departments of Justice, Homeland Security, Treasury and State. Her other prior experience includes serving as a Proposal Manager for SM&A, a proposal management consulting agency in Newport, Calif., and a Capture Manager for SiloSmashers, a Fairfax-based business consultant to the federal government. Howard has additional experience at SAIC and Premier Technology Group.

Howard is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, and the University of Maryland University College, where she earned an additional bachelor’s degree in Information Systems. She received a master’s degree in Information Systems Management from Bowie State University.
