Buchanan & Edwards Selected to Present the 2012 Cynthia Early Educational Foundation Scholarship
Buchanan & Edwards (BE) is proud to announce its contribution to the Cynthia Earley Educational Foundation (CEEF), a nonprofit that provides college scholarships for student athletes. CEEF has chosen Buchanan & Edwards as the presenting sponsor of the Cynthia Earley Scholarship Award for the 21st annual Great Chesapeake Bay Swim (GCBS).
The 2012 event is scheduled for Sunday, June 10th near Annapolis, MD. Over 80 eligible student athletes will be entered in either the 1 or 4.4 mile swim events. The two winning students will be recognized and awarded scholarships after the 4.4 mile race at the Bay Bridge Marina on the eastern shore of Maryland. Scholarships for $1000 and $500 will be awarded to the student athletes who have raised the most funds to benefit the charities of the GCBS.
The Earley family founded CEEF, including BE employee Darren Earley, to commemorate the life of their mother who was passionate about youth, education and leadership. BE shares the same ideals through its career internship program. BE recruits students and graduates with the goal of supporting their professional and educational goals as well as teaming to support charitable organizations and the community.
