Buchanan & Edwards Promotes Sean Spann to Deputy CTO
Buchanan & Edwards (BE) announces the promotion of Sean Spann to Deputy Chief Technology Officer. Sean will be responsible for implementing BE’s technology and solution strategies and oversight of BE’s R&D, solutions development and technology partnerships.
Sean joined BE in 2002 and has served in several service delivery and management positions. He has contributed directly to BE’s growth, supporting and providing innovative solutions to clients and transferring those successes to new clients and accounts. His client work includes multiple projects at the State Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation across a variety of disciplines.
Prior to BE, Sean began his consulting career as an Analyst for Accenture (known then as Andersen Consulting) and reached the level of manager. He worked in the Communications & High Technology business unit, developing and delivering Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, financial and billing systems and specialized telecommunication provisioning systems for Internet Service Providers (ISPs). While at Accenture, his commercial clients included Iridium, Verizon Bell Atlantic and XO Communications.
Sean is most adept at applying the right technologies to solve mission-related problems and deliver strategic value, and he enjoys the challenge of harnessing new technologies. He is a subject matter expert in Agile software delivery, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, and various supporting data management technologies and techniques. He is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and Project Management Professional (PMP).
